Rubber rollers can be used for most surfaces, they are stronger (so lasting longer), easier to be washed, also suitable for urea glue and solvent based adhesives. Sponge rollers are right for surfaces sucking more glue, i.e. softwoods and similar and for uneven surfaces, for instance 5 parts cabinet doors. PUR roller are made of polyethylene and are specific to apply PUR adhesives. They are disposable and must be replaced after use/at the end of the day.
